Over the past year or so, the #Lifehack trend has quieted down a little bit. Which is good. Because, things were starting to get a little ridiculous. Like, the guy who recommended using a stethoscope placed on your laptop for when your headphones break, or this guy, who reckons using chopsticks to eat Cheesy Wotsits is a good way to avoid cheese-dust fingers.
Now though, there's proof that life hacks could actually harm you. Take the case of Suzanne Dale from Sale in Manchester for instance. Suzanne saw a clever 'life hack' on the internet that involved placing her toaster on it's side, inserting two slices of toast with cheese on top and, voila, perfect cheese toastie bread without having to turn on an over.
The only trouble with this? It nearly burnt Suzanne's house down. Oops.
DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME... !!! ...Saw a tip on FB about turning your toaster on it's side for toasted cheese.....thought...

Quicking thinking Suzanne chucked the toaster out of the window, where it burned for around 20 minutes. It took several hours for the smoke to clear from her house. She told the Manchester Evening News 'I just thought "oh I’ll try that". I don’t know why, I have griddles and everything to make cheese on toast. I thought it might be a faster way of making cheese on toast. There has since been 2,000 shares and so many comments. It is probably a good thing, if I was stupid enough to do it someone else will be. Lots of people said ‘"I was going to try this I thought it was a good idea.’"
Maybe take your life hacks with a pinch of salt in future kids.
