Right, you've left it last minute again because no-one wanted to take responsibility for organising and now, here you are, a few days before the big night and you've got nothing to do.
Just to throw another spanner in the works you're broke too.
But, don't worry. All around the country there's nice benevolent bars and clubs who decided to waive the seemingly obligatory £30-and-up entrance fee for New Years Eve and, are instead, letting people into their parties for free.

Ray's Bar Dalston, London
Just behind excellent pizza place Voodoo Rays in London's Dalston, Ray's Bar is super great for cocktail lovers and, on this the eve of 2017, is letting you in totally free AND giving you a glass of fizz for free at midnight. Banging.

Odd Bar Manchester
Never one to disappoint on New Years, Odd Bar's free New Years' Eve parties are always an excellent shout. This year they've got DJ Nic Zube (no idea but ten points to Gryffindor for the name) playing hiphop and funk classics, RnB, house and disco all night.

The Hope & Ruin Brighton
There's several parties going on in The Hope on New Year's Eve, but only one of them's free - Dad Rock, which TBF, sounds like an excellent shout.THere's dad rock classics (the poster's got a picture of Bowie so we assume you're in safe hands), dad DJs, a 'Jagger off', 'hook a dad rock duck' game and an air guitar competition. It might not be cool, but it will be fun.

Roxy Ballroom, Leeds
There's a big old beer pong party happening at Roxy Ballroom in Leeds which is not only free to get into but ALSO, comes with free pizza. Which is just spectacular news. They have got more tables in to account for more people but it's probably worth booking in case.

Gallimaufry, Bristol
Whatever you do, tell your mates where you're going first because you're sure as hell not going to be able to spell 'Gallimaufry' in a text at 11:38 PM on New Years Eve now are you? Anyways - Soulworks, Hot Buttered Soul and Bodywork are going to be playing soul, disco, and rnb all night long. They recommend getting down early to avoid disappointment.
