So, breakfast week is totally a thing. While we're not entiiiirely sure about all the days classified as hat day, walk the dog day and etc (yes, these are all actual 'things', breakfast week is totally, totally a thing. Mostly because we love breakfast.
We've rounded up seven different healthy breakfasts for you to have this week, as suggested by health blogger Stephanie Elswood aka @healthychefsteph.
1. Monday
Wait, what? We can have waffles and they can be considered healthy?! Count us in. Made up of vanilla whey, egg whites, coconut flour, coconut milk, an egg and peanut butter, topped with bacon and avocado. Yum.
2. Tuesday
Because sometimes all you want is chocolate for breakfast. A healthier alternative to that chocolate bar you've got nestled in the bottom of your bag: greek yoghurt mixed with chocolate whey, cocoa powder salted caramel peanut butter, cacao nibs and some fresh strawberries. And done.
3. Wednesday
With a bit more kick than a cold pressed juice, you can make this iced coffee using black coffee, vanilla protein powder, cacao powder, oat milk, coconut oil, peanut butter, chocolate shots and icecubes. Pop in a nutribullet and chug.
4. Thursday
Because it's been a whole four days since your Monday healthy waffle adventure. Chocolate protein waffles topped with yoghurt, fresh berries and cocao nibs.
5. Friday
A lean green smoothie that tastes like strawberries and apparently as good as it's going to make you feel. Vanilla protein, spinach, avocado, coconut oil, calorie free stawberry syrup, superfood powder and spin.
6. Saturday
Congratulations! You made it through the week. Saturday's healthy breakfast is a fruit and oat protein parfait made with layers of yoghurt, berries, rolled oats and more yoghurt mixed with protein powder and salted caramel peanut butter. Make this the night before and leave it in the fridge to be devoured in the morning.
7. Sunday
Paaaaancakes! Potentially our fave thing of all time, ever. These are chocolate protein pancakes made with vanilla whey protein, cocao powder, egg whites, milk, vanilla extract and coconut flour and cooked in coconut oil.
