Summer is drawing to a close, but the carefree fun doesn’t have to end here! We’ve teamed up with Currys PC World and Sony to help you #ExtendYourSummer. Make the most of the final few light evenings and get your parties started earlier! After all, sometimes getting ready is half the fun of a night out. Get all your girls around you, follow these 7 simple steps and you’ve got yourself a pre party to rival even the most popular club night.

P.s. Fancy winning a Sony speaker of your very own? Scroll down to find out how.

1. Get Yourself a Speaker

No party is complete without music, and you’re going to need something to play it out of. A portable speaker is always going to come in handy, so we suggest you invest in a Sony HG1, XB3 or X11. All three are wireless, powerful and come in an assortment of colours, so you can pick your favourite! Special mention goes out to the XB3 which boasts the extra Bass™2 technology, tailor made for dance music, delivering a deep, punchy bass sound.

2. Sort Out The Tunes

Now you’ve got the speaker, you’ll need something to play out of it. Creating a playlist can be time consuming and stressful. Check out this playlist from Kiss FM DJ, Charlie Hedges – it’ll have you and your squad ready to dance in no time.

3. Contouring Game Strong

Time to get yourself looking as good as you’ll be feeling. We’ve got heaps of make up tutorials that are actually both achievable AND wearable, a miracle, we know. Try them out on yourself, or, wait for the girls to come over and try them out on each other, teenage sleepover style. How about this one for the dewy, but not wet look, or try out our lash tutorial.

4. Drinking Game Strong?

Drinking games, or non-drinking games if you’re that way inclined, are a great way to get the party started, and if there are people who don’t know each other in the group, they can be a great ice breaker. We love these ones.

5. But First…

Let me take a selfie! It’s 2016, therefore no night out is complete without a squad selfie for Instagram or Snapchat. Why not up your game with some cool props? Moustaches and glasses are obviously the classic, but we love these ideas, specifically the Disney ones.

6. Eating is definitely NOT cheating

Line those stomachs now, and with any luck you may be able to avoid the donner kebab regret of tomorrow. Try making your own snacks to serve to your guests. Try these different toasts, they taste great, are easy to make and also look dead impressive. Score.

7. Your carriage awaits…

A few drinks in and trying to get an Uber XL and split the bill is just going to be just too much faff. Eliminate the stress and pre-book your taxi in the afternoon. Get a quote, and get all the gang to hand over the cash before you get in. Sorted!
