Go and watch the bloody London marathon

London marathon

If you couldn't be bothered to sign up for it yourself (d0n't blame you mate, 26 miles is outrageous) then at least go and cheer on the people that did. Best spot IMHO? The Kings Arms on Tooley Street. It'll be busy, be warned, but less busy that Greenwich. Just get to London Bridge (easy right?) and walk down. Drink for each runner that passes you. No, wait don't do that. Terrible idea.

fashion day

When the Rana Plaza collapsed in Bangladesh in 2013 killing 1,134 people, we were forced to take a long hard look at how we consume fast fashion in the West. Fashion Revolution Day was formed in the aftermath to bring about awareness for the true cost of our fashion habits. Held at Manchester Metropolitan University, the free even comprises of two films Clothes to Die For (we interviewed director Zara Hayes last year) and The Secret Life Of Your Clothes. There's also speakers and refreshments.
