She may be best known for her uncanny ability to recall exactly how it feels to be a teenager, but Judy Blume has also written a few adult books and we can hardly contain our excitement at the news that she has a new one coming out next year.

Sure, we all remember Margaret’s boob-growth chants ‘I must, I must, I must increase my bust!’, the scoliosis-afflicted Deenie, and the extremely racy Forever, but we also love her grown-ass woman books Wifey and Summer Sisters.

‘It’s pure Judy Blume, writing about family and about friendships, about love, about betrayal. It’s quintessential Judy,’ her editor Carole Baron toldThe New York Times. Aaaand that's all they're saying so far.

Judy lives in Key West, Florida, and frequently tweets about her writing. The book is already written and she will spend this summer on rewrites. She says she’s ‘thrilled and terrifed’ to release a new adult book. Her last adult book was Summer Sisters, which was released in 1998.
