There’s nothing quite like finally finding your perfect shade of lipstick to perk you up on a dreary afternoon. The choices endless…a classic red? Fuchsia pink? Navy blue (yep, really)? You name it, team Grazia’s probably tried it.

And it’s not just us - lipstick sales are predicted to rise by 12 per cent this year, according to new research conducted by Mintel. Two out of five women purchased lipstick in the past year alone, rising to 48 per cent of women aged 16-24, the study found.

Fans of the 'more is more' look in the pout department include everyone from Sienna Miller, Emma Watson to Lupita Nyong'o.

Charlotte Libby, senior beauty analyst at Mintel, said: ‘Sales of lip make-up are expected to grow significantly this year, thanks to a high number of new product launches in the category.’

‘While matte lipsticks have been a popular trend, the fuller lip, too, has been made fashionable again by celebrities such as Kylie Jenner,’ Charlotte reveals.

Adding: ‘As beauty blogger tutorials continue to focus on recreating the full-lip look, sales of lip products are expected to increase.’

So there you have it, the Kylie Jenner effect is now leaving less space in our makeup bags. But regardless of why you’re stocking up on the beauty go-to, we’re all over this trend.
