Emma Watson is no stranger to shocking hair makeovers. Remember when she rocked that pixie crop on the red carpet in 2010? But for the last few years at least, the Beauty and the Beast actress hasn’t strayed too far from her signature warm honey brown/dark blonde hue...Until now. Watson revealed a new darker shade of brunette at a film event in New York City – and it’s the perfect seasonal update.
While Belle is all about the bright ensembles and lighter locks, it seems that the 25-year-old Hollywood star and UN ambassador wants to channel a darker, edgier look this winter. And forget a yellow ball gown, Watson channelled a glam-goth vibe for the night, wearing a black velvet dress and choker combo (FYI: Two of the hottest trends for AW16).
‘I didn’t get to experiment with dyeing and chopping off my hair like most teenagers,’ Watson revealed about her decision to cut her tresses post-Potter. ‘I’d been on Harry Potter for ten years so I needed to mark the end of it in some way. I needed a drastic change and that’s what the crop was all about.’
