With show notes screaming UNISEX, we knew this collection was going to be anything but straightforward. Multicoloured tinsel streamed, all over the runway and hanging from the rafters From male models in giant ball gowns to Game of Thones’ Gwendoline Christie strutting her stuff....Read on for the 5 things we loved from the legendary designer's show..

1. Gender Bending

Boys in ball gowns? Why not! (Jason Llyod Evans)
Boys in ball gowns? Why not! (Jason Llyod Evans)

While its deemed perfectly fine for girls to sport masculine three-piece suits nowadays, male models wearing taffeta ball gowns isn't something you see every day. Vivienne Westwood bends the unspoken rules of fashion, yet again.

2. Game of Casting

Game of Thrones Star, Gwendoline Christie put in a runway appearance (Jason Llyod Evans)

Gwendoline Christie (or Brienne of Tarth as her Game of Thrones fans will know her) made a surprise guest appearance on the Westwood catwalk. There was no coat of armour for her here though, the actress modelled a signature draped jersey dress. And very great she looked too.

3. Tassel-tastic!

Tassels are coming for autumn/winter 2015! (Jason Llyod Evans)

Dame Viv is not a follower of trends, and proud of it she is too - but tassels have been seen at Burberry, Chalayan and Acne amongst others and was a highlight of the Westwood show. In her hands they formed skirts hanging in long lines from leather belts and decorated the hem of suit jackets.

4. Here Comes The Bride

Here comes the bride! (Jason Llyod Evans)

With the gender swapping theme continuing, this season’s Westwood bride was, of course a bloke wearing a white strappy dress and the groom? A bra-less lady in a giant straw top hat. They finished their walk down the aisle/catwalk with a big old snog too.

5. Cool Coupling

Love was certainly in the air! (Jason Llyod Evans)

Isn’t it rude to upstage the bride? Vivienne and Andreas looked every inch the happy couple making their curtain call. The coolest fashion husband and wife team in town who ALWAYS treat their guests to a wonderful show.
