Couture Week is over for another season. But it wasn't all about the trends on the catwalk, we sent our Style Hunter Anthea Sims onto the streets of Paris to spot the chicest looks from the show-goers, It-girls and models off-duty. From stripes to statement trousers, the fash pack have never made summer trends look hotter. Take note for your warm weather wardrobe...
Horizontal, vertical, mismatched - there was a total stripe out from the Parisian style set. Heed Olivia Palermo's advice for a noncholant and weather-appropriate take on the look, and pair a breezy blouse with wide-legs in a contrasting stripe. Just be sure to keep your heels high and your accessories minimal for a look that's chic and streamlined.
Feathers and fur aren't just for winter you know! A little texture goes a long way, but if you're wary of this touchy-feely trend then keep it to the details - pep up a colour-block dress with a frou frou clutch or opt for shift dress with a furry hem. Stick to white for those summery vibes.
A pair of statement trousers are a summer must, as seen at Giles, Dries Van Noten and Peter Pilotto for SS15, and all over the streets of Paris at Couture Week. Printed, cropped or flared from the calf - anything goes.
White is a perrenial favourite for the warmer months, as is the mini, so an LWD (that's little white dress) is your summer go-to. Make like Chaira Ferragni and add a flash of colour in cobalt blue to up the ante. Folow the lead of these stylistas and pair with shoe boots to keep your look on the right side of casual for daytime. And don't forget about a sun-kissed glow - the perfect complement to bright white, even if you have to fake it.
