The Best New York Fashion Week Street Style Looks

We're already lusting after Victoria Beckham, Alexander Wang and Givenchy's offerings for SS15, but off the catwalks, the street style set are giving us fashion inspo that we can copy right now.

We sent our Style Hunter to New York to snap the chicest looks from the FROW set. And the likes of Margaret Zhang, Susie Lau (aka Susie Bubble) and Man Repeller's Leandra Medine have seriously delivered.

If these ladies are anything to go by – breezy culottes, flared denims and suede peep-toe boots are the go-to pieces for styling out this inbetween-season weather. And, we're also taking notes of the micro trends holding sway. Take heed...

The LRD (that's little red dress)

The classic black mini is out, attention-grabbing crimson is the fash-pack's got-to shade for short and sweet dresses.

The new twinset

The 60s trend for matching tunics and trousers has made a comeback, with a little 90s inspo thrown in too. Either stiff tailored separates or a pair of breezy flares and matching skirt (for a less twee look) are the style sets preferred approach to matchy-matchy tailoring. Trust us - you'll be doing it too, before you know it.

Roll up, roll up

For fashion edge to rival New York's chicest ladies, give your fail-safe boyfriend jeans a little turn up. A great way to show off killer heels, too.

Tied up in knots

Polished is out, and the undone, 'just rolled out of bed like this' look is in. So forget pristine, dry cleaned, fresh tailored looks – button ups and sweaters are best worn tied around your waist or half-in, half out.
