It's not like we would ever not be in the mood to shop, but the first few shows of fashion month certainly kick that desire into an entirely more serious league. We want things fresh from the runway and we want them now. Occasionally - and increasingly - that can become a reality thanks to special early deliveries or on-the-spot ordering and trunk shows. But really we are just in prep mode.
Hannah Almassi, Grazia's fashion news and features editor, has started her list from NYFW already. Now all she needs is the cash...
1. Givenchy's brogued stilettos.
Even more tempting when smattered in crystal jewels but the plain would also be more than satisfactory!
2. Altuzarra's button/unbutton dresses.
The perfect way to nod to nautical without veering into costume territory. And also v practical for the changeable British summer, non?
3. Isa Arfen's gingham.
**** Inspired by Bali, designer Serafina Sama has injected new life into the classic tablecloth check thanks to those big ruffles.
4. Sandy Liang's frayed jeans.
Just the right length, colour and degree of destruction on the hem.
5. Victoria Beckham's white knitted dress.
This kind of simple throw on has been very present on the FROW and just feels that little bit different from a regular sundress.
6. Alexander Wang hoop earrings.
May not be able to get away with the entire utility look head to toe but the earrings will nod easily to the trend.
7. Proenza Schouler's flamenco moment
Oh the thrills I would get out of these frills! No one's ever made ruffles look more rad than these two...
Rosie Assoulin separates: I love how Rosie takes the volume and extravagance of mid-century couture silhouettes and either blows them up or scales them down into more wearable forms - this red twosie is a real treat for summer.
8. Paul Andrew's floral sandals
The perfect sensible heel height balanced out with a smattering of supercute flowers, these beauties are a spring awakening!
9. Coach's patchwork jacket
An excellent way to nod to the retro mood without going all-out astrakhan crazy. This little number will work just as well in your downtime with denim.
10. Marc Jacobs' statement jacket
Talking of jackets, they didn't get much more spectacular than this stars-and-stripes number from MJ. It's mad as a Dolly Parton convention, but that's why I love it so.
