Set within the shadows of Saint Andrews Church in London's Holborn, Simone Rocha's spring/summer 2015 maidens were spooky ones. With their bedraggled wet hair almost choking their necks, dresses and coats so wispy-of-tulle that they appeared to float almost ghost-like, and shoulder straps purposefully tailored in wavy lines to look dishevelled and accidentally pulled off.... Not to mention the blotted blood red floral embroidery. Papal detailing added luxurious touches - quilted and exotic oriental fabrics, fur-like marabou trims and eerie veils were all pretty in soft pastels, but pretty twisted too in their volume and placement. It's hard to pick just five things we loved, but we'll try...

1. Sheer blush trench coat

We're seeing more and more of the statement spring coat, the kind of item that isn't strictly essential but is wardrobe boosting. This one with matching trousers was beautiful and brilliantly awkward all at once.

2. Deadly daisies

In now way girlish, somehow Simone made these florals was ferocious and threatening. Embroidered into tulle - and often styled with matching veils - it was the maximum march against ditsy blooms.

3. Lots of LBDs

The show opened with a series of covetable black dresses - something that Simone, like her designer father John, does so very well. These had enough point of differences to turn heads, but still felt classic enough to be a forever buy.

4. The organ music

It wouldn't be right to blare out trance tunes in a church, so Simone's ecclesiastical score only helped add to the drama of her runway. What really happened to these girls in a past life? Can we find a director to produce a costume drama dedicated to the story?

5. Floral lace ups

Continuing her quest for designing flat shoes that change the minds of high heel addicts, Simone triumphed again with these red floral (and appliquéd for bonus points) brogues. Striking with a matching dress but bound to be just as awesome with tailoring or denim.
