You've baked the banana bread, you've tried TikTok, you've joined Joe Wicks, but now what? Well, it's time to try some DIY - of the fashion variety. The hashtag latest challenge on the 'gram - #HomeCouture - has got us reimagining our favourite weird, wild and wonderful catwalk looks. But here's the catch: you can only use the stuff you already have lying around the house. Think bin liners, cellophane and cardboard boxes transformed into frothy Molly Goddard frocks, slinky Moschino gowns and John Galliano for Christian Dior newspaper dresses.

The hashtag started with Central Saint Martins graduate George Serventi who took to Instagram to upload a picture of his own interpretation of a sculptural Comme Des Garçons look - made entirely out of bin bags. 'CATEGORY IS: #HomeCouture,' he wrote in an Instagram caption. 'Recreate your fave runway/red carpet look with whatevs you have lying around the house and upload using the hashtag #HomeCouture (tagging moi ofc) to join in the wholesome fun!'
It's more than just wholesome fun however. With the next Couture season now cancelled, and people hungrier than ever for inspiration, #HomeCouture is a celebration of the ingenuity and creativity of fashion - not to mention the most fun one can have with the recycling. Surely. In uncertain times, many of us are turning to craft and creativity for comfort and stimulation. But if you're not handy with a knitting needle, and don't even know what a sourdough starter is, this might be the one for you. It certainly beats another day in a tracksuit and hoodie doesn't it?
