Food In A Flash: Six Second Recipe Guide To Helter Skelter Hot Dogs

Hungry? Busy? Want to cook something quick? Then we have the solution for you, courtesy of Vic Grier, food stylist/writer and Grazia Daily's new recipe vine queen. Every Friday she will be posting easy-peasy, quick-as-a-flash recipes that are a doddle to do. And because we don't want to take up any more of your time, here's our first, hot dog pastry twists we've called Helter Skelter Hot Dogs.

HELTER SKELTER HOT DOGS

Shopping list:

All the ingredients below are from Waitrose.

Ye Olde Oak Frankfurters Pack of 5 £1.99

Jus-Roll Puff Pastry £1.50

Waitrose British Blacktail Free Range Eggs £1.50

Baking sheet £9.50

Essential pastry brush £1.60

Method:

  1. HEAT oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6.

  2. CUT the pastry lengthways at around an inch wide.

  3. WRAP the pastry around the frankfurters in a spiral using a little water to stick the ends.

  4. BRUSH with a lightly beaten egg.

  5. BAKE for 15-20mins until golden brown.

  6. EAT with mustard and ketchup! YUM!
