What do fashion influencers have in common? Answer: they’re seriously into documenting their tights.

From Gucci numbers emblazoned with interlocking Gs to sheer Fendi numbers, the Insta-pack are bringing back the old school classic ( just with a slightly heftier price tag).

According to global fashion search platform, Lyst, search for Balenciaga tights soared by 19 percent last month. A favourite for the fash pack? The label’s chain-print tights.

And surprisingly, Kim Kardashian is largely responsible for the growing Insta-phenomenon. Since sharing a snap of herself in a seriously logo-heavy look on February 12, Lyst reported a sartorial snowball effect.

The following week alone, boasted over 3,000 searches for the social media mogul’s shouty Fendi tights. For those hoping to jump on the fashion bandwagon, too late. The Kardashian influence has rendered them a sell-out. Sigh.

Gucci on the other hand is still pulling its weight as one of this year’s ‘It’ brands despite the fash pack’s reignited relationship with the likes of new-but-old Fendi and Dior. According to Lyst, views of Gucci’s logo-centric tights rose by 39 percent last month. Hands up, who’s guilty?

But the revival of logomania is hardly surprising. For Dior's autumn/winter 18 show, Maria Chiuri Grazia sent models down the runway with miniature saddle bags in tow.

Reminiscent of John Galliano's 2001 collection, the pint-sized accessory (which gained a place in the tracksuit-clad closet of noughties muse Paris Hilton) made a major comeback.

In a trickle-down effect, the A-list clan have since adopted the trend with the likes of millennial supers, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, regularly papped in belt bags and Matrix-inspired sunnies galore.

And over recent months, the Insta crowd has begun to catch on. From miniature noughties arm candy to the now-famous Balenciaga trainer, we’ve welcomed a plethora of logo-focused accessories this season.

Just take a moment to scroll through your Insta-feed and we can guarantee you’ll spot a Diorissimo saddle bag wedged beneath the armpit of some street style star or a blogger grabbing brunch in this season's must-have Gucci legwear.
