Is there anybody who doesn't love Zara? From Kate Middleton, who regularly wears pieces she's had for years to Selena Gomez, who wore one of the brand's coats just this week, even celebrities can't get enough of the high street label. It's the shop responsible for possibly the most ubiquitous dress of all time and offers one of the best sales, too. Today, it has launched a collection of some of the most beautiful coats your eyes will ever see.
As part of its Atelier collection, Zara's new limited edition coats are crafted from premium fabrics boasting some incredible details. There's the show-stopping rose print coat, with its gold sequin cuffs and collar that you'll want to wear to weddings for the rest of time; the embroidered cape coatwhich could easily be mistaken for a designer piece and the cosmic coat with detachable faux fur trim, which is simply out of this world.
There's also a patchwork poncho, which would work in any season (particularly here in the UK) and a beautiful jacquard coat, also with a detachable (faux) furry hood. For dramatic dressers, there's the Black Shadow coat, boasting florals, feather appliqués and a leather belt. All have been shot by Paolo Roversi for an accompanying campaign, showing off the outerwear in all its glory.
Prices start at £259, with the most expensive at £349. While this is more of an investment than your regular Zara coat (see: aforementioned style worn by Selena), these are most definitely trophy pieces you'll keep forever. Of course, there's no denying that fast fashion is anything but sustainable but that doesn't mean your own shopping habits have to follow suit. Buying something you know you'll wear for years to come – and hopefully pass on to someone else when you've finished with it – is the only way to shop.
