Sunday scaries may sound sweet, but one study found that 76 per cent of American’s feel this acute stomach-twisting melancholy. I’d hasten a guess that it’s not just those across the pond that feel the weight of their to-do list bare down on them as the weekend comes to an end.
Personally, it’s the looming presence of work that makes my cortisol bubble. The reasons vary - a big deadline, a meeting or even something as banal as what to wear to work to make the right impression - but scrapey anxiety is the same. One way I deal with it is by getting myself prepared the night before. How? I lay out everything I’m going to wear for that week ahead of time. Sure, it’s a bandaid and won’t sooth every anxious thought, but it lets me have a minute more lie-in and feel more in control of my mornings. To do this I like to take inspiration from influencers as getting dressed is their job. Here’s who I’m copying this week...
