Finding the perfect wedding dress can be a mammoth task, especially if your search has a limited budget. Luckily, in recent years the high street has begun offering elegant options that will suit both unconventional and traditional brides.
Whistles was at the forefront of this movement, offering contemporary options for every variety of nuptials. After debuting a collection of seven limited edition bridal options last summer, the brand has decided to widen the choice for brides next year with a new set of styles due to drop in store and online in January.
Proving affordable gowns don’t skimp on details or delicacy, Whistles will be offering brides ten new designs. Crafted out of silk, lace, organza jacquard and embroidered tulle, every type of bride is catered for. Choices include a sleek slip dress, a jumpsuit, a mid-length pleated dress and a dramatic backless gown. Hidden details like detachable trains, scalloped edges and boning ensure that each piece feels extra special for the bride’s big day.
To accompany the bride in question are several options for bridesmaids. Available in three colourways they are designed to complement, not overshadow, the couple’s sartorial choices and be mix-and-matched. The bridal party can choose from a silk slip dress, an elegant tie back maxi dress, a ruffle detailed dress and a jumpsuit.
The complete collection will be available to purchase at the beginning of next year (end of January) with the items for sale on the retailer’s website and in the London flagship store in Covent Garden from January. Prices begin at £169 for a beautifully simple maxi bridesmaid dress and go up to £699 for an a-symmetric one-shoulder lace wedding gown.
