Welcome to New Look’s AW15 Edit

Autumn/Winter is on its way and it’s bringing with it a palette of rich, earthy shades, soft fabrics and 70s shapes that we can’t wait to wear. Lucky for us, New Look’s AW15 Edit has just dropped and it’s full of amazing catwalk-inspired pieces to update your wardrobe and get you ready for the new season. We’ll miss you summer, but we just got very excited about AW15.

New Look’s Autumn/Winter collection is made up of three trends that cover the season’s must-have looks, from the new military to Scandi cool. And we’re loving them all.

Grunge

Burgundy, khaki and black dominate this rebellious trend, with hardware details such as metal buttons, buckles and zips adding a military touch. Think bomber jackets and pea coats as outerwear, and sleeveless blazers as the perfect trans-seasonal cover-up. Studded boots and leather add a harder edge, especially worn with the must-have coated jean. It’s a tough choice, but the fur gilet is our hero piece - perfect for adding a touch of rock and roll to any outfit.

Heritage

With the 70s vibe continuing from Spring/Summer, look to this trend for classic prints like check, plaid and floral in shades of camel, mustard and rust. Go retro and pair denim and corduroy with pussy bow details and crotchet trims, or give your look a preppy feel in a pinafore dress or A-line mini. Patchwork and fur are key to this look, but suede is our AW15 obsession. We’ve already fallen in love with New Look’s suede trench and over-the-knee boots – perfect for giving a floral dress that winter feel.

Winter Tribe

This wintry take on boho is all about layering neutral shades of grey, pink, nude and white, and soft, chunky knits like waterfall cardigans and printed ponchos. Fringe detailing and neck ties add softness to blouses and accessories, while lurex and metallic finishes create interesting textures to give your favourite skinnies an AW15 update. We’re loving New Look’s Aztec blanket wraps, we’re imagining them with a fedora and shearling bag.
