My Week In Fashion: Grazia's Senior Fashion Editor Goes Fine Jewellery Shopping

My Week In Fashion
Welcome to My Week In Fashion! Every week, Gemma Hayward - Grazia's Senior Fashion Editor - shows us what she's seen, loved and bought. Click through the gallery above to see what she's been loving this week, from the Dolce & Gabbana press day to her new YSL lipstick…

1. Dolce Press Day
As always, the Dolce & Gabbana press team were the perfect hosts when we visited the showroom to view the new SS15 collection this week. A tray of traditional Sicilian cakes were laid out whilst we feasted our eyes on the stunning new clothes and accessories. I look forwards to shooting it next season.

2. Issey Miyake New Home
Last week, the doors opened to a new flagship store by Issey Miyake on 10 Brook Street which was designed by Tokujin Yoshioka. The two-floor 5,000 square-foot store showcases all the fashion-houses labels (except Pleats Please- that has its very own store up the road). To mark the momentous occasion, editors were sent this fantastic limited edition version of the much-loved Prism tote. Love.

3. The Best Lipstick Ever
Working with talented makeup and hair artists you get to pick up some good tips along the way. Last week I was working with the great makeup artist Jose Bass and I was going to a wedding that evening so he kindly gave me a little makeover post shoot, a brilliant perk of the job. He gave me a red lipstick – YSL Beaute Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain - which he raved about and I have to say it’s the best lipstick I have ever worn. It stayed on all night, something that has never happened before. It’s a bit glossy, but it stains the lips and with a little tissue pat-down the finish was matte. It’s so brilliant I just had to tell you about it.

4. Solange Stairs
I have been out this week on appointments looking at the all the beautiful jewels on Bond Street for a still life shoot which is happening later this week. If you haven’t been to the Solange Azagury Partridge store on Carols Place, then you should, as well as the show-stopping jewellery, the interior is exquisite. The dark paneled walls are highlighted with the most snazzy carpet ever – check out the stairs!

5. Utility Shoot
Here is an outtake from my fashion shoot from this week’s Grazia. The style is utility and the clothes are fashionably functional with designs by Marni, Celine, Kenzo and Sacai. Please have a watch of the rather fun fashion film by Dino Dimopoulos who took backstage footage during the shoot.
