My Week In Fashion: Graziau2019s Senior Fashion Editor Escapes To Her Manor
My Week In Fashion
Welcome to My Week In Fashion! Every week, Gemma Hayward - Grazia's Senior Fashion Editor - shows us what she's seen, loved and bought. Click through the gallery above to see what she's been loving this week, from visiting the fabulous Hanbury Manor to falling in love with the new Nike x Liberty collection….
1. Nike x Liberty At Home
It’s probably my favourite sneaker collaboration and I am happy to report that Nike x Liberty now has its very own home on the 1st floor of Liberty’s in London. The permanent space will host the latest limited edition collaborations as well as an edited selection of key Nike products. I took the opportunity to get a sneak preview the day before opening. Much care and attention has been made to personalize the space – from 3-D printed trainers acting as vases to bespoke Nike x Liberty floor and wall tiles which look right at home in the wonderful surroundings.
2. Happy Halloween
Now you couldn’t exactly call this a costume, but this was my effort for Halloween this year. I did plan to take out my niece and nephews trick or treating but when Lyla came down with tonsillitis, we had to stay home and we dressed up to answer the door to the passing spooks! Look how sad she looks as a little witch, she was so upset she couldn’t go out. Thankfully she is feeling much better now.
3. To The Manor Born
I travelled to the wonderful Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire to shoot my Flora and Fauna story last week and it seemed like a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beautiful hotel is steeped in history and oozing with charisma– including an impressive vaulted chapel, this is an idyllic, quintessentially English country hotel retreat. The roaring fires in giant carved stone fireplaces, oak paneling, four poster beds and beautiful landscaped grounds couldn’t have been a more perfect fairy-tale setting to my opulent fashion story. I can’t wait to visit again for a weekend away with my friends to sample the delights of the spa and enjoy the delicious-looking afternoon tea that I spied being served.
4. Accessorize All Areas
With the Spring Summer 15 press days in full swing, I have managed to get out to see some of the new collections in between shoots! My pick from last week’s was Black Frame who had some brilliant accessories on display. From wonderful new frames from Linda Farrow, Teddy Bear bags from Ashley Williams to laser-cut shoppers from Kenzo and amazing bespoke fine jewellery from Delfina Delettrez.
5. Winter Sun
I have never been away for winter sun, but it’s been a busy year so I’m planning on making the most of it and escaping to the Maldives! It’s my dream destination and I am still pinching myself that it’s actually going to happen. I’m visiting the Sun Siyam Iru Fushi followed by the Olhuveli resort and I will be reporting back to you with a special Maldives edition of My Week In Fashion…now for some bikini shopping!
