If You Love….Rixo Then You’ll Adore We Are Leone

There aren’t many brands like Rixo. That mix of eccentricity but versatility, trend-setting but affordable(ish) and universally loved but not over-exposed is something that makes the London label seem truly unique. Started by ex-ASOS staffers Henrietta Rix and Orlagh Mcclosky, Rixo (see where they got that name?!) filled the gap in the market for playfully printed dresses, blouses and skirts that gave you the thrill of a vintage find but none of the stress of dealing with its previous wear and tear. For many of the same reasons, a Rixo-lover will feel the same palpations over LA-born label we are Leone.

Founded by two sisters, Ruby and Tallulah Rufus Issacs who have ten years of industry experience in their back pocket, we are Leone creates dresses for shoppers unafraid of a little colour or print. Like Rixo’s their wrap dresses can also be worn as duster jackets or with a pair of jeans. And, just like the London label, these are the type of items that have people running up to you in the street asking, ‘where did you find it’.

The Issacs were born in Los Angeles but grew up in Rome with stints in London, Paris, Switzerland and Modena, which you can tell from the worldliness of their pieces. Drawing inspiration from fabrics sourced on their travels and places they’ve visited means these are items that can take you from a wedding in St Tropez to hopping in an Uber for after work drinks. Much like Rixo pieces, really.
