From the ‘70s to the future there’s a vast time range on offer on the catwalks at the moment. But one of our favourite fashion throwbacks having a moment this Autumn/Winter is the 60’s. From the catwalk to the high street we’ve seen A-line coats, Mary-Janes and, of course, the shift dress!
During the Autumn Winter 14 fashion month we saw PVC and sparkle from Miu Miu with the super short mini dresses teamed with kitten heel Mary-Janes; whereas Gucci teamed their colourful shifts with a 60’s knee high boot and double breasted coats for a slightly more sophisticated look. Louis Vuitton gave us a true Autumn Winter feel with their leafy colour palette and shifts, warmly styled with a roll neck underneath.

With all that inspo in mind we are thinking of how we can update our own wardrobes with the new season shift dress. This time round we are loving the roll-neck shift. Whether you are wearing it day or night - a higher neck is oh-so-chic! Just opt for a lighter fabric and bare legs if you're planning on wearing your shift for dancing. For daytime, team your dress with a knee-high boot - our current favourite accessory this winter.
