Never mind January, the arrival of the spring collections present the perfect opportunity to have a mental reboot.
Wether you're drawn to butter wouldn't melt frills or 1990's neons, Grazia's fashion team have taken a deep dive into the new season trends and how you should shop them.

After a winter spent living in black leather and navy cashmere, I’ll be doing like the Loewe and Valentino woman come spring and lightening up in airy, ivory cotton and lace. I love the contrast of white on dark, sun-bronzed skin, which I will hopefully have all summer long, whether in the city or on the beach! And as a mom to two small boys, here’s hoping I can keep it clean.

My wardrobe has had a butter-wouldn’t-melt, puritanical bent recently, but thanks to Bottega Veneta’s Daniel Lee I’m feeling something sassier and sexier this season. I’m daring to do plunge necks this season and adding a choker for an extra fission of feistiness.
Plus, I’m single so…

The boxy shirt silhouette paired with fuss-free trousers and flat sandals, is what the modern minimalist in me will channel this spring. Print in past season’s has previously been a no-go area, but Jil Sander’s whimsical pastels with an arthouse feel are a challenge I can take. I’ll be looking towards interiors site @auguri_auguri for inspiring colour combinations and my forever icon Francoise Hardy.

Marc Jacobs was the pinnacle of joy this season. A celebration of eclecticism, freedom and wearing whatever the hell you want, I’ll be dressing as an ode to MJ this year. Prints, florals and fancy sleeves galore. Instagram has made us accustomed to seeing the same sorts of outfits on the same sorts of people, which is why I increasingly turn to the likes of Leandra Medine, whose personal style is fun, unapologetic and brilliant.

The return of the XXL bag is music to my ears, a practical +1 that can fit in my water bottle, reusable coffee cup and everything in between, with room to spare! winner winner. Bottega’s buttery leather cross body bag is the top of my list, obviously! This season my resolution is to borrow, not buy. I’ll be heading to rental sites like the Cocoon Club or MyWardrobe HQ.

Kwaidan Editions’s zesty trousers, paired with a sand-coloured shirt, make the right kind of statement for spring. I’m a tale of two wardrobes - tonal and printed. I tend to keep these halves separate, but I’m pledging to combine the two for spring, with a jolt of interesting colour. Wish me luck.

I’m pledging to swap my jeans for head-turning trousers. You can’t get a more cheer-inducing and yet effortlessly cool bottom half - and you don’t need to worry about wearing something jazzy elsewhere on your person. I’ll be looking to Blanca Miro for outfit inspo and styling mine with gold hoops, a no-fuss cashmere jumper - and a true-blue jacket to get my denim fix, naturally.
