Trend Alert: Here’s How To Wear Silk & Satin Off-Duty

Want to add a little sparkle to your summer wardrobe, but worried about looking too ‘done’? Our favourite trend for summer ’16 is off-duty silk-satin.

Whether it’s a printed silk shirt worn with high-waisted straight-cut jeans and flats, or a satin slip dress worn over a white T-shirt and mules, adding a silk/satin texture into your look doesn’t have to look OTT.

Yes, a silk ball gown has its place, (which isn’t the tube on a Wednesday morning) but this trend is all about throwing a luxe satin or silk piece into your outfit to give your look a little more punch.

If you're headed for warmer climes (or just enjoying the British heatwave), take inspiration from Chiara Ferragni and be bold and brave in a silk two-piece outfit. A SS16 update on the luxe pyjama trend, this ivory silk co-ord is absolutely stunning.

A silk/satin slip dress worn with casual accessories is also a really great way to work this trend. Try heavy leather sandals or ankle boots and oversized shades to dress down a delicate slip.
