Sézane is a brand that has so successfully managed to capture the elusive nature of French women's style, it's hardly a surprise that most of its new-in pieces sell out almost immediately, often amassing enormous waiting lists. From vintage-style dresses and irresistible knits to chic sandals and summer blouses, Sézane has cultivated an enraptured audience, all of whom are poised and ready whenever a new collection arrives online (or, indeed, into one of its brick-and-mortar stores, although these are, of course, closed for the foreseeable future). The news of a brand new homeware collection, then, will no doubt be met with great fanfare – and for good reason.
La Maison Sézane is, as the brand says, bringing 'magic to our homes, when we may need it most.' This translates into everything from £15 velvet-covered notebooks to the prettiest floral wallpaper for £40, available in ochre, green or pink. There's also a range of cushions (even some to match your dress), hand-painted crockery and glass vases. This is, in short, a quick, affordable and easy way to transform your home space.
Some of the collection has already launched (and indeed, some of it has already sold out) but don't let that put you off – a whole lot more is set to arrive online this weekend (on Sunday at 9.30am, to be precise). Until then, there's plenty you can still buy.
The government's latest announcements may not be as positive as we'd hoped – but at least we've got a good excuse to invest in Sézane's homeware collection.
