Scarlett Johnasson's reps have confirmed that she gave birth to a baby girl. This is her first child with French journalist Romain Dauric. “Mother and daughter are doing well,” publicist Marcel Pariseau tells the Associated Press in a statement.

Scarlett and Romain were engaged six months before they confirmed they were engaged. In an interview with* People* magazine earlier this year Scarlett said of her beau, ‘I’m very happy. He’s my buddy.’ She revealed in January that she was yet to start planning the wedding, ‘I’m not doing any wedding planning,’ she told Good Morning America.

The actress has previously spoken out about wanting children. 'I am fortunate in that I have had a long career - 20 years - that has been very diverse. So, you know, picking a time to plan a family feels like something that I could do and not feel as though I was missing out,' Scarlett said.
