Yesterday Sarah Jessica Parker sent the internet into meltdown, when she posted a picture of herself leaving a Bloomingdales with a shopping bag, wearing a very Carrie Bradshaw-esque outfit.
The caption read: 'Well. I guess the cat's out of the (little brown) bag. As usual, we will keep you posted on every detail as we are able. I'm under a strict gag order until then. Xx, Sj'. And what did everyone think this meant?* Sex and the City 3* – obviously.
Turns out, and we’re sorry to break this to you, that is absolutely not the case. It has now been revealed that Sarah Jessica’s shoe collection SJP is going to be sold at the American department store chain Bloomingdale’s that is also whose favourite shop? Carrie Bradshaw’s - Sarah Jessica’s character in Sex and the City. Oh, what a coincidence.
While everyone is excited about the SJP collection finding a ‘home’ at Bloomingdale’s, the disappointment among Sex and the City fans has been rather noticeable. Especially since earlier this year rumours of a reunion were sparked, when Kristin Davis a.k.a. Charlotte tweeted ‘@SJP Miss YOU XOXOXO!! <3', which was replied to with a cryptic ‘Me too you! Heard the news? X’. But even the studio behind the movies, Warner Bros. was quick to clarify: ‘The post is not in relation to the Sex and the City property’.
It looks like SATC 3 is not happening (anytime soon), so what else is there to do? Find comfort in buying one of SJP’s shoes? Possibly.
