Rosamund Pike Is Proof That The Bob Is Making A Comeback

First it was the lob, then it was the wob (read: wavy bob) and now it seems like hair’s timeless style has done a full 360 and come back to the… bob. Just take a look at Gone Girl beauty Rosamund Pike who has, over the past few weeks, been showing off one of the hottest bobs we’ve seen for a while. Proof that this classic look is surprisingly chic and bang up-to-date, Ms Pike’s new ‘do has had us beauty girls in a situation of some serious hair envy. Plus, with the likes of Karlie Kloss, Michelle Dockery and even Beyonce also following suit; we reckon the humble bob might just be onto something.

Take, for example, blonde beauty Rosamund’s ease at working her bob into 3 (yes, THREE) different styles. From her short, pale blonde bob matched with peach lips to a slicked-down, razor-sharp style earlier this month in Rome. And not forgetting her impressive up-do at the London premiere of What We Did On Our Holiday- who’d have thought that a few bobby pins could transform a bob into a red-carpet-worthy updo?

If you have a heart shape face, go with a side part and a swept over fringe to make the forehead appear smaller. If you have a round face, keep layers on the sides longer. If you have a square face, try an off centre part and start face framing layers at the chin.”
