We all know that a breakup is hard. But thanks to Kim Kardashian and Cressida Bonas we also know that it can bring out the very best in a girl's style. There's a reason why the average break-up costs £500 to a woman trying to re-invent her image. Enter Rita Ora, who on Friday called it quits with her musician cum DJ cum regular Grazia COL hottie Calvin Harris. Harris took to Twitter to announce the split:

While we know Rita must be hurt, we can't fault her first break-up outfit choice. For a night out on the town with girlfriends in West Hollywood on Friday, Rita sported a daring, low-cut Dior LBD, apparently a gift from the designer. Surely a stalwart in every break-up fashionista's wardrobe. But what of the other essentials Rita should invest in over the coming weeks?

Yes, looking sexy is kinda the point, and yes, flashing a little cleavage/*décolletage/*leg sometimes helps in that department. But before you get the temptation to go all out hoochie mama it's worth looking at Kim Kardashian, who after a mere 72 days of marriage to Kris Humpheries, had a total fashion makeover, sporting subtle make-up, neutral colours and (more) demure hemlines than we're used to. It's confident, it's un-flashy, and you know what? It works.
