Racing season is here and as we get ready for the Grand National tomorrow, today at Aintree it was Ladies Day where women were out showcasing some of the, umm, bravest looks (see the best here).
So are you getting your racing gear together, dithering over what to wear? When it comes to deciding what to wear, following a few simple pointers will guarantee a stand out look. Avoid turning heads for the wrong reasons by keeping hem lines (at their shortest) just above the knee. Spring's floral and pastel trends are perfect for the races, and mixing and matching prints and hues is a great tip to make a High Street look your own.
Full skirts with silk tops and fine knits are the perfect alternative to a dress and tailored trousers or culottes teamed with a sharp high heel are the tom boy's answer to dressing up. Choose luxe fabrics with a sheen or embroidery to give your outfit the wow factor.
And finally, it can be blustery when exposed to the the elements, so opt for this season's ladylike opera coats to avoid the chill.
