Prince George is not your average two-year-old - so it should come as no surprise that he got a rather grand present from his grandfather Prince Charles. George is said to have been gifted with an £18,000 "cottage on wheels" to play in at Prince Charles' Highgrove home, as well as a refurbished tree-house within the huge gardens at Highgrove House. It's a toddler's dream come true!
According to the Telegraph, the Prince of Wales’s Gloucestershire home now houses a hand-built Shepherd’s Hut within a 15-acre garden - basically an incredibly plush wendy house. Featuring French oak wooden floors, a woodburner and a little bed, the present was actually a gift for the little Prince's first birthday from a Dorset-based company Plankbridge, that was helped into to business by the Prince's Trust.
Charles has also refurbished the tree house created for George's feather, the Duke of Cambridge. Named "Holyrood House" after the Queen's Palace in Scotland, and because it was built in a holly bush, the dwelling was created for Prince William's seventh birthday in 1989. Now it's been updated so little George can escape there.
Royal sources have told the Daily Mailthat Charles and George regularly enjoy "picnics in the gardens" complete with a plastic tea cup set purchased for the toddler Prince,. Apparently he future King is hoping George will inherit his love of gardening.
