2021 is going to be a very different year for Pride, the movement that brings a rainbow of celebration to streets every summer to honour the LGBTQ+ community, with some events being postponed to later dates while others have been made virtual instead due to Covid-19.
When is Pride celebrated?
Pride is widely celebrated around the world in June. During Pride month there are usually many events to celebrate the LGTBQ+ community, but also to learn, discuss and campaign around a range of issues, help to raise awareness and promote equality.
Pride in London will take place on 11 September 2021. The event will feature a parade route which will march through central London, Piccadilly Circus, and around Trafalgar Square, with exact details of the route yet to be published (although you can apply to take part in the march here).
With Pride events happening spread across 2021, see here for the full list of events taking place in London and visit pride-events.co.uk for the full list of events across the UK.
The fashion world is also taking notice, with brands dropping special collections and donating money to organisations that will directly benefit the LGBTQ+ community. Keep scrolling to see 27 of our favourite rainbow-buys, that actually do good.
