A Scottish trial has shown that women are more likely to give up smoking whilst pregnant if they are given financial incentives - but is it right to use what the Royal College of Midwives say amounts to 'bribery'?
According to the trial, in Glasgow, 23 per cent of 600 women who were offered vouchers worth £400 stopped smoking. Of those given NHS support but no vouhers, just 9 per cent quit.
The results showed it was a competent means to protect unborn babies from the dangerous effects of smoking - but the trial has been heavily criticised. So we're asking you - what do you think?
