Think 'festival', think 'Seventies'. It's almost impossible to work an authentic festival look without nodding to the era from which the musical festival (as we know it) emerged.

Want to fast track to the Seventies? Take the routes of tassle or brown suede. Or, if you can find a piece that merges the two, so much the better. Enter River Island, and their Limited Edition rust faux suede fringe kimono. The lightweight jacket protects against any bothersome festival breeze, but can easily be tied round your waist if the sun decides to comes out to join the festivities – and it's [faux] suede, and it has tassels. Basically, it's perfect.
