T-shirt Bra
Don't underestimate your trusty t-shirt bra. Not only is it your most comfortable bra, key for a night where you'll spend hours in your dress, but also it works perfectly with materials like silk, satin, or anything that's bodycon. You'll achieve the perfect silhouette, with no seams on display.
Top tip: make sure you have the correct cup size, to avoid the dreaded four-boob effect.

Strapless Bra
Yes, we can wear spaghetti strap dresses and, dare we say it, even strapless dresses! We just need the correct support. You're onto a winner if you've got a boned strapless bra, with underwiring and silicone gel grips.
Top tip: although it might not be so comfortable, try going down a back size, the tighter it is, the more supported you'll feel.
Beauty tip: dab a little bit of highlighter on your collar bones.

Sports Bra
If you're in it for the long haul, and are planning to dance the night away, don't forget your sports bra. OK, we know they're not exactly the sexiest of NYE undergarments, but they're a perfect choice for when you want to minimise the chest. Especially if you're wearing a shift dress, and you want a straight-down silhouette, to not look like a tent.
Top tip: compression sports bras are best, because not one wants cone-boobs (aside from '80s Madonna).

Lace Bra
If your dress is a little on the low side, and you can't find a supportive bra that won't show, try a lace bra that matches the colour of your dress. A little lace poking out never hurt anyone.
Top tip: if you can, opt for eyelash lace, it looks a lot more delicate and expensive.
