It’s official! After finally opening an account on Saturday, David Beckham now has the fastest growing Instagram account of ALL time. Becks earned himself a cool 1M followers in his first day, faster than anyone else (Emma Watson was the previous fastest, reaching 2M in just 2 days) and was the fastest account ever to reach 5M followers in just 3 days. We suspect his star-studded birthday snaps will have done the cause no harm at all.
After treating us to that smoldering sleepy selfie, he received a massive 850,000 likes and went on to treat us to a further 14 snaps over the next 5 days.
We really hope David keeps up with his current insta-pace – we are going to require a LOT more of those duvet selfies.
