I had a lot of trends on my bingo card for this year, but wearing your nightwear as daywear? Not one of them. Still, there's never a dull day when fashion is involved, so yes, the latest trend to hit our screens and the streets is to wear your pyjamas out of the house. The trend began, as you'd expect, on the runway, with brands such as Chloé and Dries Van Noten fully committed to nightwear-as-daywear, sending models down the runway wearing chic nightdresses paired with layered necklaces and platform sandals. The high street has since followed suit, and suddenly the internet has become awash with all things satin, lace, or both.
First, it was Zara's Asymmetric Lace Dress that sold out within a week and consequently went on to break the internet, followed by its Asymmetric Lace Camisole Top. Now, there's a new lace cami in town, and this time, it isn't from Zara. Instead, we're eyeing the Nobody's Child Camille Cami Top, £38, which I'd argue is just as good as Zara's viral style, if not better. Made from a silky fabric, the top is finished with delicate cream trimmings and a V-neckline - the perfect balance between romance and whimsy, if you ask me.

Part of the limited edition collaboration Nobody's Child did with Poppy Delevingne, the Camille Cami Top is perfect for nailing that 'nice top and jeans' outfit formula. With cream lace trimmings and a V-neck, dress down with said jeans, or up with a satin midi skirt and platform sandals.
In the baby blue, the Camille Cami Top feels ethereal, so pair it with something more casual, like flared or bootcut jeans and gold earrings. It's also the sort of colour that works for morning coffee dates but can easily be transformed for the evening with a change of shoes and a jacket around your shoulders. In chocolate brown, however, the lace top tells a different story entirely. It's richer, slightly more sultry, and is made for those light summer evenings, particularly when paired with pointed slingbacks and a pair of linen shorts. Whichever colour you opt for, it's basically the ultimate 'nice top and jeans' solution – an outfit formula that feels as failsafe as a classic LBD or a white tee.

The Lace Cami Top is also available in a deep chocolate brown colour, with the same cream lace trimmings and V-neckline. Style this darker shade with a pair of linen shorts or jeans.
The Nobody's Child lace top is far more than just another basic cami. It's versatile as well as stunning, and one that can work for pretty much any event you have booked in your social calendar – plus, it's on sale too. The top only reiterates the fact that you don't need to save everything satin and lace for the bedroom; in fact, style it with jeans and make your way out of the bedroom.
