We were expecting another controversial performance from Miley Cyrus at the VMAs on Sunday, but instead she took the opportunity to bring charitable concerns to light when she let Jesse, a 22-year-old homeless young man, accept her award for her while reading out a speech on homeless youths across LA.

She's not planning on demuring her style any time soon though, as proved by her brand new cover for V Magazine, where she is seen wearing a cut-out furry bodysuit, lying on a pile of cuddly toys. Their 91st edition is fittingly titled ‘The Rebel Issue’ and was shot by Karl Lagerfeld and styled by Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele. Karl Lagerfeld showed he was a Miley fan last year when he posed on the red carpet with a copy of her album.

Miley is clearly excited about this shoot, as she has posted a number of teasers on her Instagram account. In one raunchy black and white image she lies on a bed of soft toys totally naked. She also posted a picture of Karl Lagerfeld hiding behind his copy.

V explains the idea behind the Rebel Issue: "V91 focuses on the art of rebellion. But before you think us punks or misfits, it should be noted that we’re not necessarily talking about that type of rebellion associated with being deliberately defiant or rowdy, but rather with the idea of taking ownership of one’s ideas and craft and not compromising even when difficult situations arise. Staying true to one’s self and one’s art, no matter what, takes courage and discipline, which is vital to any artist’s survival."

This isn’t the first time Miley has appeared on the cover of V Magazine - last year appeared wearing a black bra and pants in her butt-bearing cover. In the Mario Testino shoot, entitled 'The Emancipation of Miley', she wore a nose ring, spikey boots and rocked punky orange hair.
