There’s no denying Meghan Markle’s sartorial pulling power. From her penchant for seriously covetable arm candy (we’re looking at you, Strathberry) to the 36-year-old’s now-famous McQueen moment, the former actress has certainly cemented her status in the fashion sphere.
And just when we thought her newfound royal wardrobe couldn’t get anymore enviable, the duchess-to-be rocked her most relatable look to date on her latest engagement.
For the Invictus Games team trials, the former actress dressed up an official polo shirt with a khaki-hued trench by new go-to label - Babaton for Aritzia. In rather unsurprising news, within a matter of hours the ‘Meghan Effect’ sent the spring-ready number flying from the shelves.
But her latest purchase was to be expected, as she has a thing for Canadian labels RN. Having spent the entirety of her Suits career based in Toronto, the former actress will have popped into Aritzia for a Saturday scan no doubt.
To accessorise the highly-publicised look, she donned a pair of her trusty Mother Denim jeans (yes, she successfully brought back the bootcut in the process) but this time, left her enviable accessories collection at home.
Ever since she donned the look, it’s remained etched in our minds and we won’t rest until we can bag a similar spring cover-up.
Designed to combat the inevitable shower or two, the trench coat is a failsafe option when patiently awaiting the summer sun.
From this month’s high street champions to investment pieces designed to weather-proof your look season after season, these are the items on our April checklist.
If it has the Buckingham Palace stamp of approval, then it’s good enough for us…
