Still in the age of video calls, our wardrobe is feeling staler by the second. But proving you don't need bells and whistles to look polished, Meghan Markle just renewed our faith in a wardrobe classic: the shirt. Surprising a virtual meeting of poetry students via the educational organisation Get Lit - Words Ignite! to honour Black History Month, Markle dug out a simple blue button-down.
Her wardrobe choice chimed with several of the students' waist-up outfits, one of whom wore a collared white shirt, another of whom chose a more laid-back plaid button-down, and all of whom looked wide-eyed with excitement at their surprise guests. Markle's shirt is most likely from With Nothing Underneath, a British brand specialising in shirts that has become her go-to for smart-casual occasions. She owns both the poplin white-striped shirt, which she last wore to the opening of east London's Luminary Bakery, as well as the sky blue-striped shirt, which she styled with skinny jeans for a photoshoot with the charity Smart Works.
