I could extol the virtues of dresses for summer until the cows come home. And to be honest, even then I would probably have yet more to discuss, so would send away our bovine friends until I'd finished. If I were to regale you with my thoughts on M&S's summer dresses, however, not even the cows could stop me. Don't worry, I'll try and keep this brief.
In short, M&S has started to drop its new summer collection and, while there are lovely pieces across the board (this floral jumpsuit, for example, is a winner) it's the dresses which have really piqued my interest.
If you're anything like me, you may conjure fantastical images about exotic locations you're going to be wearing your new found wardrobe, but the good news is that these dresses are not only perfect for trips away post-lockdown, they also have lots of TOAG (throw on & go) appeal in and out of the house, from easy wearing smocks to smarter shirt dresses.
There are also styles – like thismidi dress– that could easily be dressed up for a wedding, or worn with trainers to a BBQ in your own garden. As you can see, a few have already been on Instagram, so I'd recommend you buy before they have a chance to sell out.
I said I'd keep it brief, so all that's really left to say is that, true to M&S, the prices are all affordable (most are significantly less than £100). This obviously means I'll have more money to spend on those spritzes. See you on the other side.
