M&S is no slouch in the collaborations department, with blockbuster collections under its belt with style luminaries like Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller and Bella Freud. For its next, however, the high street retailer is turning its attention to a section of your wardrobe that might be a bit neglected, namely your pyjama drawer.

What you wear to bed is your business, of course, but if mainstays include ratty leggings or holey T-shirts, we can say, categorically, you deserve better. Luckily, M&S's latest collab is with a luxury nightwear brand that makes pyjamas so dreamy, so delicious, that you'd never want to wear anything else if you owned a pair: Olivia von Halle.

Dropping in 20 selected stores and online tomorrow, 8 April, M&S x Olivia Von Halle marks the high street stalwart's first nightwear collab; a 10-piece capsule that delivers 'empowered feminine glamour' at an accessible price (£45 for a nightshirt; £55 for a pyjama set). Von Halle reworked three of her signature (and best-selling) prints for the collection - a floral, a stripe and a feline (!) - which, combined with the tried-and-tested silhouettes from M&S, make for one special pair of PJs, as well as robes and printed eye masks. The attention to detail, meanwhile, is what you'd expect from both parties, from the contrast piping and branded buttons to the elegantly wide cuffs.

For von Halle, it was an opportunity to collaborate with a brand that's close to her heart (she got her first bra-fitting, like so many teenagers, at M&S). 'When I was a child, my mother hated shopping - with the exception of M&S,' she says. 'They are an icon of the British high street, and I feel so privileged to be able to play a small part in that ever-evolving legacy.'

M&S's lingerie director, Charlotte Davies, is confident it's a collab that will fly off the shelves for good reason. 'Elevated nightwear styles like the PJ and wrap really resonate with our customer and so this collection is going to offer them something really special that can’t be found anywhere else on the high street.'
