The only thing sweeter than the smell of Paco Rabanne's new Olympeascent is the face of the fragrance, Brazilian model Luma Grothe.

Luma is on track to become one of the new supers, having appeared on more magazine covers in the last year than you've had hot dinners. We caught up with her to learn more of her beauty secrets...

Grazia Daily: You’re Brazilian but live in New York now – how do the two countries compare when it comes to attitudes to beauty?

Luma Grothe: "The main difference I think I have with the American way of life in terms of beauty is the simplicity Brazilian people have. My daily routine is quite simple and I’m so grateful to my parents for that…"

GD: What’s in your makeup bag right now?

LG: "I always have a lip moisturizer and a mascara, both from L’Oréal Paris. My essential are basics, but basic is chic. Always be natural - that’s how I feel the best."

GD: What skincare products do you love for when you’re flying and travelling lots?

LG: "The only essential I truly need while travelling is a moisturizing cream that I apply every 2 hours during a flight. The air in planes is so dry; I don’t want my skin to suffer."

GD: Tell us about the new fragrance! What do you love about it?

LG: "It reminds me of my childhood, and my mum cooking. It’s sweet but powerful at the same time, sensual but strong - I think that's the real secret to facing the world nowadays!"

GD: When it comes to exercise, do you consider yourself a gym bunny? Talk us through your fitness routine.

LG: "I do a minimum 30 minutes of gym every day, always working my legs, and I like to use weights for muscle development."

GD: What’s one exercise that transformed your body?

LG: "Planks and resistance workouts. No cardio for me, it’s not something that thrills me."

GD: What’s your favourite comfort food?

LG: "Pizza!!! Sadly no comfort food for me every day, but I love pizzas - whatever the shape and the ingredients, it’s always a hit."

GD: What does a typical day’s food look like to you?

LG: "I eat like a queen in the morning, a princess for lunch and have a light dinner."

GD: Finally, what’s the one thing about the Brazilian way of life you miss most?

LG: "What I probably miss the most about Brazil is the weather, which is always quite warm. I have been living in New York for almost 2 years…I can tell you that I may never get used to living in snow and freezing weather! Luckily, I go back to Brazil quite often."
