The sun is finally out, you can leave the house to do more than visit the supermarket and life feels pretty good. But wait, what's that? The wine has gone warm. You may have chosen it from the refrigerated section on your way to meet your friends for a picnic but a couple of hours in and it's clammy, to say the least. You don't deserve this. Not after a global pandemic.
Well, that's Lidl's exact sentiment. Nobody deserves warm wine this summer. Which is why it has produced a new line of handbags, built into which are not just specially chilled liquid compartments but there are even concealed tap dispensers, meaning you don't even need to open your bag in order to refill your glass.
The handbags are available in both striped and plain black styles, the former ideal for beach picnics and the latter unsettlingly apt for work (well, nobody said the first commute back to work would be easy). But for those looking to take their wine further afield, there's even a very practical backpack that is crying out for a hiking trip.
All are £19.99, a small price to pay for a chilled, crisp glass of rosé this summer (and one which doesn't require you to book a table seven years in advance) and they'll be in store from Thursday, June 3. You could even pick up the wine to go with it while you're there.
