Though these brands confirmed our suspicions that the bum-grazing knicker style is currently enjoying a sabbatical, these labels were also keen to promote another longer silhouette. A few years ago we might have called this streetwise item a ‘city short’ or even at a pinch ‘bermuda’, but under the watchful eye of Paris Fashion Week’s designers this longer and leaner cut has redefined itself simply as ‘knee-length’. How do we know? Net-A-Porter and Farfetch have both renamed their categories to reflect this.

Now that we’ve May-ed it (sorry not sorry) to Spring the temperatures are rising and not every office is fully equipped to deal with this. This newly updated silhouette is the answer to tackling this corporate beast of a situation.
