While fashion editors are meticulous in what they wear, they aren’t wholly original. For there is one brand and one specific dress that seems to have caught the eye of at least half of London’s best-dressed women.

Though we like to think of the style set as adventurous with their clothes it seems a little black frock, specifically Kitri’s Myrtha Midi Shirt Dress, has become a big deal in the influencer world of late. A quick scroll through Instagram and you’ll see it popping up on some of our favourite feeds.

But, what makes this dress so special? Kitri, inspired by history, tailored this knee-grazing cotton sateen dress with exaggerated bell sleeves and fashioned it with ruched panels, a nipped-in waist and a striking double ring exposed zip.

Founded by Haeni Kim, online-shop Kitri fills a gap in the market for fast-ish, affordable-ish fashion. Readily likened to Finery and Cos, it caters to a sophisticated customer who wants classics with a twist that while not dirt cheap they don’t break the bank either. For instance, shirts come with puffed sleeves, and silk dresses have elegant cross-body wait ties all come in at under £200. The brand is confident with colour and print but not so bold it’s difficult to wear.

This cult Myrtha dress is a perfect example of what Kitri does best. On the surface, it looks simple, yet its quality and cut means it suits a variety of body shapes. It can be dressed up for a party, or down for work, which might explain why [the £105 item](https://kitristudio.com/collections/dresses/products/myrtha-midi-shirt-dress?variant=5058114957581149575) has already sold out (worry not, there is a waitlist already underway so hopefully more stock will be dropping soon!)
