She’s been in the spotlight since she was only 11-years-old thanks to her appearances on reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. So it’s hardly surprising that Kendall Jenner feels older than her years. In a column that she has written for the Wall Street Journal about ‘youth’, Kendall has revealed, ‘I feel like I grew up too fast a long time ago. Having older siblings, you grow up around adults, so you mature more quickly.’
Kendall’s eldest sister, half-sibling Kourtney Kardashian, is 16 years her senior, while Kim is 15 years older. ‘I saw my sisters and parents working every day, so I was pretty much brought up to be a workaholic. But I just turned 19 a couple weeks ago, and I'm scared to be 20 - it's the first step out of being a teenager.’ Kendall, was one of six people asked to write about the topic for the February issue of the Wall Street Journal’s magazine. Other participants include Goldie Hawn, celebrity dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt and soccer player Tim Howard.
Kendall adds, ‘My sister Khloé always says to me and my younger sister, Kylie: You have your whole life to be an adult but only so long to be a kid. And we get it.’ Kendall’s half-sister Khloe is 30. ‘In the right situations, I try to be as immature as I can sometimes -- react to things as if I were 12. You can't take things too seriously.’
Kendall’s CV is far lengthier than the average 19-year-old. As well as a regular slot on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the model is the face of Estee Lauder, and she has walked for the likes of Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Givenchy.
Not bad going!
