Happy New York Fashion Week! Get ready, your social media is about to be flooded with the hashtag NYFW as it all kicks off today. While the editors and FROW-ers are still arriving in New York, the models have been there over the weekend for castings.
For the past few seasons Fashion Week coverage has been dominated by gal pals Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss. But this season there is a new model clique taking over New York: Kendall Jenner, Hailee Baldwin and Gigi Hadid. All three friends have been spotted whizzing around NY with their portfolios tucked under their arms.

The 17-year-old model, daughter of* Usual Suspects* star Stephen, is on the books at Ford Models and is the new face at French Connection. Like Kendall, Hailey Baldwin has also been given the seal of approval by LOVE Magazine's editor-in-chief, uber-stylist Katie Grand, as she starred in her own LOVE Magazine shoot.
They all have a similar fashion week uniform: skinny jeans, ankle boots and leather jackets. Hailee said to ASOS about Kendall: "The more time we spend together, [the more] her style rubs off on me. These boots I'm wearing – she had them first, then I came to LA and she was like, "Are those the boots I have?"'

Their friend, model Gigi Hadid is also set to be big news this season. The blonde has landed a cover with CR Fashion Book and recreated Anna Wintour's first Vogue cover. made her New York Fashion Week debut last February. She said to* Vanity Fair* about her first shows: "It was crazy. I got to walk with my all-time idol, Candice Swanepoel, and she was, like, in front of me in the lineup, and it was crazy. I was amazed."
Like Kendall and Hailey, Gigi also has Hollywood connections - she is the daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster so has made several appearances on the show.

Kendall said to LOVE Magazine about her last fashion week: "I went on castings and some people weren't feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn't recognize me. I was like, 'Thank you. Please don't recognize me.'" Katie Grand said that Kendall was very un-Kardashian backstage: “she didn’t turn up with an assistant, and her agent was backstage with all the other agents although not to look after her. Actually, she was laughing with me backstage because some of the other girls were going around saying, ‘Apparently there’s a Kardashian in the show?’ She thought it was the funniest thing.”
Something tells us that now Kendall is joined in NY by her two Hollywood model pals, she won't be quite so incognito backstage...******
